In order to get to this restaurant you need to take a scenic gondola up a steep mountain in Queenstown New Zealand. The view at the top was no short of spectacular.

2. Glenorchy Lake Side

Glenorchy is a cute little town located about a 40 minute drive away from Queenstown. There were plenty of beautiful stopovers along the way and the town itself is just beautiful. Well worth the trip.

3. Onson Hot Pools

If you like views but you also like taking the time out of your holiday to kick back and relax, I highly recommend Onson Hot Pools. Onson is a 30 minute drive from Queenstown. You get a private pool and room to yourself to enjoy an amazing view of Queenstown’s mountains and lakes.

5. Milford Sound

This is one of those places you kind of have to go to when you’re traveling in New Zealand. Unfortunately for us though, the weather was terrible. There was a pretty bad storm happening all throughout the day-tour. But, as the guide said, “most people don’t even get to see Milford Sound like this, but you guys are lucky because there will be plenty of waterfalls”. Maybe he was trying to make us feel better about not being able to get that picture-perfect postcard photograph, but we still found Milford Sound impressive. Hopefully when you go you’ll have better luck!
